A study on textile-controlled inflation.

Inflatable Knit investigates the potential of inflatable structures in the creation of three-dimensional knitted objects.
Within a collaboration with the TextielLab Tilburg, I created a self-supporting seat where the knit itself becomes the system that shapes the air.

Unlike traditional inflatables, this seat relies on the textile structure to create contrasting volumes. The knit precisely guides the airflow where it expands, flows, or is restricted, enabling both ergonomic freedom and precise control defined by the combination of stitch patterns, techniques, and yarns.
